5-Step 360° NetSuite ERP Evaluation
Everything you need to know about NetSuite ERP, delivered by the experts at the No. 1 Northern California NetSuite Implementation Team and Reseller: Protelo.
Step One: Is NetSuite ERP Right for your business?
- Outgrowing QuickBooks?
- Using multiple applications to run your business?
- Overpaying for SAP, Oracle or another system?
- Interested in fully cloud-based business management?
- Struggling with information siloes and bad data?
- Looking for NetSuite financing options and list price discounts?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions—the Protelo NetSuite Evaluation Process can provide you every piece of information you will need to make an informed ERP buying decision.
Step Two: Intro Call with Protelo’s Experts
Common questions from our clients:
- What stands out about NetSuite functionality?
- How will NetSuite work for my specific business processes?
- How does NetSuite compare to other ERP choices?
- Why work with a partner vs. NetSuite direct?
- What is the full software and project cost?
- Can I see a NetSuite demo?
In step two, Protelo will answer all questions about NetSuite, including software and implementation cost, potential discounting, the module package that’s right for your business and why more and more companies choose to work with NetSuite partners over their corporate sales reps.
Step Three: Discovery
Protelo’s executive team and Protelo’s senior NetSuite consultants will work with you to figure out together how your business can succeed and thrive on NetSuite. From the first conversation, we take an in-depth dive into business processes, what’s important to the company, future goals, key performance markers and areas for process improvement. We then will marry the business requirements with NetSuite ERP core functionality, identify any modules to add-on, any potential integrations or SuiteApps and any gaps in the system. The discovery call serves to act as a framework for the NetSuite implementation.
Expert Tip: Generally, in this phase of the sales cycle, the preferred partner is chosen. NetSuite direct and additional partners are bound by rules of engagement that prevent duplicate sales cycles for NetSuite licensing. Choosing a trusted partner will happen around this stage.
Discovery is crucial to ensuring the NetSuite ERP project launches successfully, while aligning to current and future needs.
Step Four: Dive into the System
A customized demo can often reassure companies that NetSuite is capable to manage all of the business processes they run. Protelo’s expert consulting team can provide a customized demo that is thorough and encompasses the entire system or an augmented demo of certain parts of the system for key decision makers.
Many companies choose to harness the wealth of informational demos and videos that are already available about NetSuite in lieu of a demo. The choice is yours. The project timeline and urgency will often dictate how in-depth this phase of the sales cycle becomes, if the project is in a time crunch—pre-recorded demos can be used.
Step Five: Pricing, Modules and Contract
Module and Package Selection
The chosen NetSuite package will determine the course of the implementation. Oftentimes, a salesperson at a company that is not reputable will attempt to front-load expensive modules to raise the value of the deal, knowing these modules will not be functional for weeks or months. Or perhaps the module is simply unnecessary, and a module cannot be removed until the renewal period—so there is a chance to be stuck paying annually for an unused module.
Working with a trusted partner like Protelo, there is transparency every step of the way. Protelo only recommends the modules our team has determined will benefit the client and only after discovery into the client’s business processes, goals and best practices.
Working with Protelo, you can be assured that our sales team will fight for the best list price discount possible for our clients, to ensure the best possible deal is made. We want a long-term partnership and for our clients to achieve return on their NetSuite investment as soon as possible.
Contracts and Financing
NetSuite users can lock in their price for a period of one, three and up to five years come contract time. Our consultants can recommend what is best for your business. Financing options and semi-annual payments are also available to help offset the cost of purchasing NetSuite.
After the five-step process is complete, congratulations! You’ve just bought NetSuite and gained a long-term trusted business partner in Protelo.
